Of the Protector

A fragmented landscape of rural Rajasthan, where belief lives between the divine and the everyday. Through the supernatural stories of Pabuji and other local deities, the film enters a world where gods, animals, people and land once belonged to the same living imagination.

But that landscape is changing. As roads, markets, technology and new economies push inward, older ways of living and believing begin to fracture from within. The film observes this uneasy passage, not as a loss of folklore, but as a landscape negotiating what it can remember, what it must abandon, and what it might still believe.
